ABOUT THE COFFEE FARM
Nestled in the highlands of Tolima, Colombia, El Jardín is a family-run farm owned by Jorge Elias Rojas Basques, sitting at 1850 meters above sea level and covering 3 hectares. Surrounded by the pristine mountain air and enriched volcanic soil, the farm is perfectly located to produce coffees with bright acidity and layered sweetness.
El Jardín’s history spans five generations of dedicated coffee growers. Today, the farm is led by Newerley Rojas, who grew up among coffee trees, learning the craft from his parents, Gildardo and Miralba. Their deep connection to the land laid the foundation for the farm’s evolution from traditional farming into a hub of innovation and specialty coffee excellence.
Since 2010, Newerley and his siblings Johan and Katerinne have spearheaded the transition to exotic varieties like Yellow Caturra and implemented advanced fermentation and drying techniques. As a certified Q Grader and Q Processing professional, Newerley has combined family tradition with technical expertise to ensure each harvest reflects the highest standards.
